GQSP: For the revised A level and Extended Project

Closure of the 14-19 support programme

The centrally funded 14-19 support programme will finish in its current form at the end of August 2010. Face-to-face support and support provided at a regional level are no longer available.

The Department for Education will advise schools of what other central support, if any, may be available from September onwards. Schools are encouraged to take advantage of training and development opportunities that are available from other sources.

LSIS will advise post-16 providers in the learning and skills sector of what other central support, if any, may be available from September onwards, as soon as information is available.

Get ready for the new A levels and the Extended Project

The General Qualifications Support Programme is for all schools with sixth forms, sixth form colleges and further education colleges and their senior leaders and curriculum leaders and designers. If you are thinking about introducing the Extended Project qualification, need support implementing the revised A levels or want to develop your curriculum for 16-19 learners in the context of 14-19 reforms then the programme is for you. Find out about the range of support you can access by clicking on the left-hand menu.

The General Qualifications Support Programme is delivered on behalf of LSIS by
the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust in partnership with the 157 Group,
the Association of Colleges and the Sixth Form Colleges' Forum.
